Visit to the German Embassy

On the 8th of January, DACH Society members, as well as Maximilian H. (President) and Tonio Lerchner (Head of Communications and Partnerships), representing the board, had the pleasure of visiting the Ambassador's Residence of the German Embassy in Oslo for an exchange on diplomacy, economics, and German-Norwegian relations.

In an open setting, we discussed the embassy's work and key dimensions of bilateral cooperation, including strategic industrial partnerships such as the German-Norwegian collaboration on submarine development and defense capabilities. These discussions provided concrete insight into how political, economic, and security interests intersect in practice.

We particularly appreciated the conversation with Christian Siepmann, Head of the Economic Affairs Section, who shared perspectives from his day-to-day diplomatic work and reflected on current economic priorities in the bilateral relationship.

We thank the German Embassy for the invitation and the valuable exchange, as well as Marvin M. Friedl (Vice President) and Sara K Lindgren (Treasurer) for their incredible efforts.
